In 1940’s, Mr. P. Govindharaj was born to Mr. Pakkiri Mudhaliyaar and Mrs. P. Palaniammal at the famous Mariyamman temple, Punnainallur, Thanjavur district.
He went on to set up a business in Singapore and succeeded in it. In the year 1972, he returned back to his home town and launched Mallika Fancy store in the midst of the district.
Later as years passed by,his elder son Mr. G. Thiyagarajan took the business to the next level and in 1985 he started Mallika Thanga Maligai as a small venture with only one employee.
In 1995, he shifted the shop near the Thanjavur old bus stand. With his consistent hardwork and customer’s good will, Mallika Thanga Maligai became a huge showroom of the town in 2010.
His elder son Mr.T. Sandeepkumar had a great urge from childhood to satisfy every customer needs, hence he launched another venture called Mallika Furniture, near Thanjavur railway station, under his father’s guidance and keeping truth, trust and honesty as their principles.
Looking at his family, Mr. T.Rohithkumar took over Mallika Thanga Maligai in 2017. With his constant dedication towards the business, he launched a new showroom at Thiruvarur in 2018.
